Full Details

This home is located in the popular village of Hennock, which is a hilly parish between the Teign and Bovey valleys, the village stands at approximately 600 ft. above sea-level. Hennock is a narrow ribbon of houses and is located a few hundred meters inside the Dartmoor National Park and is reputed to have one of the best views in Devon. Hennock benefits from local amenities such as The Palk Arms Public House and a Primary School. The popular town of Bovey Tracey which is only 3 miles away, offers a good range of shops and services and the market town of Newton Abbot is 6 miles away.

A pathway leads up the house and you are welcomed to a useful porch area, ideal for storing logs or removing boots before entering through the front door. Stepping into the entrance hallway the stairs rise to the first floor and a door leads through to the good size living room. There is room for a dining table as well as living room furniture. A log burner set into the wall on a granite hearth provide the focal point for the room. Dual aspect windows, bring in ample light and invite glorious views over the Teign Valley to the front of the property as well as a view to the rear garden, where woodland extends past the property boundary.
The kitchen is to the rear of the house and has wall and floor cupboards and space for a freestanding oven, fridge freezer and washing machine. A back door provides rear access to the garden and also to the brick built utility/storeroom attached to the side of the property, which houses the boiler, and a perfect space for a tumble dryer. There is potential to extend the kitchen to incorporate these two rooms (subject to the appropriate planning permission).
Ascending to the first floor, the landing has a window and a loft hatch giving access to a well insulated attic space.
The good size main bedroom faces to the front and has glorious valley views from the windows. The second bedroom is also a double room and has an airing cupboard with slatted shelving and a hot water tank.
The bathroom has a panelled bath with shower over and a basin. The toilet is separate, providing potential to knock through and have a family bathroom if preferred.

" We have loved living in this wonderful home for many years. It is so close to Bovey Tracey and access to the A38 and yet we feel like we are living in the country. The views we have from the front windows are fantastic as they span across the Teign Valley. The wood burner in the living room makes it cosy on winter nights. We have a good sized garden to the side of the house which has potential to extend for someone if they wanted to. We have always talked about doing it but our circumstances have changed so we are moving instead. We will miss the neighbours and friends in the village and of course the local pub which is within easy walking distance for us."
