INTRODUCTION Cedars House is a wonderful detached family home set in the popular Warberries area of Torquay. This special home was originally the Coach House to the larger house next door. With Victorian origins, it has been significantly extended, remodelled and modernised to provide a substantial home with comfortable living.
Accommodation is traditionally arranged over two levels with four bedrooms on the first floor and a fifth bedroom or guest suite (with en suite) to the ground floor level. There are light and spacious reception rooms with the living room and dining room offering access to the main garden and front area respectively. The living room is a large reception room with a warm welcoming feel, connecting beautifully to the main garden. There is also a useful study room, two utility rooms and a bespoke kitchen with a good range of modern units and granite work tops.
There is an attractive, beautifully landscaped garden located to the rear of the house. This peaceful and leafy garden offers a range of established shrubs, mature trees and an attractive fish pond with water feature. Electric gates open up to a stone walled parking area to the front of the house and to the side where there is a separate entrance providing additional off road parking, a double garage and storage room. This area with its separate entrance and parking could be utilised to sort a variety of uses or needs.
SELLERS INSIGHT We have loved our time living in Cedars House and will be so sad to leave. It's in a beautiful part of the world and being so close to the sea has had a positive impact on the whole families health.
We've had many wonderful family gatherings here. The house looks amazing dressed up for Christmas and it's perfect in the summer for outside entertaining. We stock the fridge in the back utility room and it becomes our entertaining kitchen, very handy when refilling plates and glasses.
Cedars house has been a real sanctuary during these recent strange times and working from home in such a tranquil, shady study with the added bonus of high speed broadband has been a huge bonus.
We will take amazing memories with us when we leave and whoever lives here next will surely love it as much as we do.
STEP INSIDE On entering the property there is a useful entrance porch which in turn leads to a spacious entrance hallway. With an outlook to the front aspect there is a kitchen, dining room and utility room. The kitchen offers an excellent range of base level and wall mounted oak units with a Butler sink and granite work surface. There is a Stoves electric range style oven and integrated dishwasher. The focal point to this lovely room is an attractive fireplace with cast iron multi fuel burner inset. In addition to the four bedrooms upstairs, there is also a fifth bedroom or guest suite to the ground floor level. This is a generous double bedroom with en suite facilities. There is also a family bathroom suite servicing the remaining three bedrooms.
