LOCATION: This bungalow is ideally situated in Manaton.
Manaton is a popular and picturesque Dartmoor village with a great sense of community. It is around a 10-minute drive to Bovey Tracey which is the closest town where you'll find all the amenities you could need. It is also home to the Devon Guild of Craftsmen and the National Trust Parke - with its woodland and river walks and popular café/restaurant.
Manaton is also very accessible as it takes just 10 minutes or so to get to the A38. From there Exeter is around 20 minutes and Plymouth around 35 minutes.

STEP INSIDE: The entrance hall invites you into this beautiful bungalow. To your left is the guest bedroom with dual aspect windows looking out onto the front garden and driveway. It is simply and elegantly lit with individual spotlights which are a theme throughout the home. On the opposite side of the hall is the shower room with large walk in power shower, WC and basin. The original painted wooden floors flow throughout and lead you into the open plan living area. Double doors extend onto a raised deck, creating elevated views towards Hay Tor. There is a snug area which cosily sits around the log burner, giving space to relax and watch the television of an evening. Heat is supplemented by the modern vertical radiators, adding a contemporary feel to this traditional home.

Walking towards the back of the open plan living area, a hallway opens onto two double bedrooms. The hatch to the loft space provides access in the ceiling of the hallway, it is partly boarded and has a pull down ladder and light. The master bedroom sits to the back of the property and has dual aspect windows. The window facing out over the garden, on a sunny clear day has a picturesque view of Hay Tor, with the side window framing Bowerman's Nose, which is a stack of granite on the slopes of Hayne Down. The second double bedroom has lots of storage with built in wardrobes which run the width of the room.

To the other end of the home is the kitchen/diner, which has Neff induction hob, built under oven and extractor fan. A butlers sink sits underneath the window which overlooks the garden and Moorland views. There is a large utility room which has space for a fridge freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. The fourth bedroom which is ensuite is located next to the kitchen/diner. The ensuite benefits from a whirlpool bath, modern ladder towel rail, WC and basin.

STEP OUTSIDE: Pulling into the driveway, there is ample parking. A log store, wood framed garage (currently used for storage) and potting shed sit to the left of the driveway. Fences secure the perimeter of the garden well, providing a secure environment for children and pets. A tall fence and gate opens onto the courtyard at the front of the property, providing additional privacy. The house is set within a panoramic garden. A wild flower bed helps to disguise the location of the 2000 litre oil tank which is near the road, allowing easy and safe access for the delivery of oil. A patio area, perfect for reading in the sun leads around the corner to the side. Steps lead down to the lawn garden, which is level and affords fantastic Moorland views. There is also a hatch under the decked steps, providing basement storage. French doors open into the garden room, which has power and radiators, however, it cannot be accessed via the main dwelling.Grazing pasture currently accommodates several different breeds of sheep. For anyone who wishes to have a small holding, this area has been lovingly cultivated to provide a generous home for much loved animals. There are also two vegetable patches with a fine crown of rhubarb which has been accompanied with other seasonal favourites.
