STEP INSIDE The front door opens into the stunning hallway with high ceilings and an open staircase, giving the entrance a real wow factor. It has doors to the kitchen and a useful cloakroom, ideal for boot and coat storage.
The modern kitchen has a range of cream gloss wall and floor units, with contrasting wood worktops, providing plenty of storage and workspace. Included is a Neff induction hob with Zanussi extractor hood above; integrated Neff oven and Neff combination grill and microwave above; along with space and plumbing for a dishwasher and space for a ¾ height fridge freezer. A window overlooks the front of the property. There is integrated wine storage and space for a small dining table to entertain whilst cooking.
A small carpeted staircase leads down to the next level. The space has been divided into two reception rooms. There is a useful low level storage cupboard which the current owners use for wine storage.
The lounge is an excellent size with cream carpets and a multi fuel burner with feature surround, the perfect space for relaxing. Two windows look towards the rear of the property, with extensive views towards Haytor and Teignmouth.
Adjacent is the impressive dining room: an ideal layout for socialising and hosting dinner parties. French doors open to the balcony, where you can sit and take in the far reaching views across Teignbridge while enjoying your favourite tipple.
Further carpeted stairs lead down to a small landing with doors to the cloakroom w.c, bedroom 1 and the front patio. The modern cloakroom has tiled floors, low level w.c, heated towel rail and a vanity hand basin with storage underneath. The first bedroom is a good size, currently used a snug. Tucked away from the road, it makes a great movie room.
A small staircase accesses the carpeted hallway with doors to three bedrooms, family bathroom and a linen cupboard.
The carpeted Principal bedroom is a good sized double with an En-suite. A large window overlooks the rear garden, retaining the same extensive views and there is a door to the airing cupboard, ideal for your linens. The En-suite has tiled floors, a walk in shower, vanity hand basin, low level w.c. and plenty of useful storage space. A frosted window overlooks the rear.
Bedroom three is a good sized double with carpets and two windows to the side. There is a hatch accessing a small boarded loft, for additional storage.
The fourth bedroom is also a carpeted double, with a window overlooking the garden.
The family bathroom is very modern with tiled floors, partially tiled walls and a white suite comprising P shaped bath with shower overhead, vanity hand basin, heated towel rail and a low level w.c. There is a frosted window to the side.
Stairs lead down to a half landing with a door to bedroom five. This is currently used as a spacious office with a window to the side of the property.
The lower level landing has doors to two bedrooms, bathroom and the utility room. This could easily be made into an annexe/flat.
Bedroom six is presently used as a music room but could make a good sized double bedroom with carpets and a window overlooking the rear.
The lower level bathroom has vinyl flooring and a frosted window to the rear. Comprising: bath with shower overhead, low level w.c and a pedestal hand basin.
The utility room is a fantastic bonus with floor mounted units and worktops, space and plumbing for a washing machine and tumble dryer.
At the rear of the house, is the seventh bedroom, currently used as a family room. It has carpets and French doors opening onto the rear patio.
STEP OUSTIDE To the front of the property, is driveway parking for two cars leading to the garage and the front door. There is an area of stone chippings with potted plants to one side, and a gate accessing the gardens to the other.
The front and rear tiered gardens have been carefully designed with low maintenance in mind. Throughout the garden is lighting and electrics, making the most of the fantastic space.
Underneath the driveway is a useful covered patio area, ideal for tool storage or to hang washing. This can be accessed by a door from the middle level of the property.
Steps either side of the house lead through the tiered low maintenance gardens with areas of shrubbery and stone chippings.
To the rear of the property is a large patio area, currently with a hot tub to one side. A few steps lead to a large decking area, perfect for entertaining and al fresco dining.
The lower level of the garden has been laid to lawn, with a paved area providing an additional dining space. With a mature Oak tree and plenty of bedding areas, there is lots of greenery and space for keen gardeners.
SELLERS INSIGHT We have a very sociable group of neighbours with a mixture of couples and families.
The town centre of Newton abbot is a five minute walk and provides you with shopping, plenty of pubs/eateries, and the mainline train station.
The views are amazing: from Haytor right down to The Ness, many hours have been sat with a coffee or glass of something on the balcony just taking it all in. The garden provides plenty of areas to relax and enjoy the sun and views, the decking is perfect for BBQs and parties, we have had many over the years!!!
The house is very versatile and has served us well, allowing for everyone to have a space of their own. During lock down it also provided plenty of homeworking space without compromising on the living space in the house. There is also potential for an income from the lower part of the house or this could make a perfect space for an au pair/nanny or relative.
Our children have now fled the nest and it is time to "down size". We will be very sad to leave both the house and the street.
